Travel & Accommodations
Which airport should I fly into?
Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) in San Juan — just a few minutes from our hotel block at the Royal Sonesta in Isla Verde. We recommend booking flights and accommodations several months in advance.
Do I need a passport?
No — Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory. U.S. citizens travel domestically; a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or passport is fine.
Where should I stay?
Our official hotel block is at the Royal Sonesta San Juan in Isla Verde, conveniently located near the airport. Staying at the hotel block is the easiest option for transportation — wedding shuttles will depart from this location.
Guests staying at nearby hotels or Airbnbs in Isla Verde are welcome to meet at the Royal Sonesta to catch the shuttle. See Travel & Stay for the full list of nearby options.
Will there be transportation to the venue?
Yes — we’ll provide shuttle service between the Royal Sonesta and Hacienda Siesta Alegre. For guests staying at the Royal Sonesta, transportation will depart directly from the hotel.
Guests staying at nearby hotels or Airbnbs are welcome to meet at the Royal Sonesta and join the shuttle from there. More details on shuttle departure and return times will be shared closer to the wedding date. Free on-site parking will also be available for guests who choose to drive.
Should I rent a car?
Renting a car can be helpful if you’d like to explore the island during your stay, but it isn’t required for the wedding weekend.
Is rideshare available?
Yes — Uber and rideshare services are available around San Juan and Luquillo. They’re more limited near the venue, so the shuttle is the easiest way to and from Hacienda Siesta Alegre.
The Wedding Day
What’s the venue address?
Hacienda Siesta Alegre · PR-186, Río Grande, 00745, Puerto Rico. Once you arrive, signage will direct you to the garden where the ceremony takes place.
When should I arrive?
Cereony time will be updated on this website closer to the wedding date.
Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors?
Our ceremony will be held in the outdoor garden at Hacienda Siesta Alegre, with covered spaces available if the weather has other plans.
What is the dress code?
Tropical formal — think garden party in a historic estate. Linen, florals, blush and burgundy tones, and shoes you can dance in. Avoid heels that won’t survive grass and cobblestone.
What will the weather be like?
April in Puerto Rico is typically warm and humid, with temperatures around 75–85°F during the day. Brief tropical showers are always possible, but they usually pass quickly.
What if it rains?
The venue has beautiful covered spaces available if needed. And if a little tropical rain shows up, we’ll simply embrace it — so come ready to dance in the rain.
Event & Guest Info
Can I bring a date or extra guest?
All invited guests will be listed on the formal invitation. Due to venue size constraints, additional guests cannot be accommodated.
Are children invited?
While we love your little ones, due to venue restrictions this will be an adults-only celebration.
Will there be a welcome party?
Yes — we’re planning a welcome gathering the evening before the wedding so everyone can meet, relax, and start the celebration together. Location, timing, and other details will be shared closer to the wedding weekend.
Do you have a registry?
We do — you can find it on the Registry page. Your presence is the greatest gift, and anything beyond that is so appreciated.
Our Massachusetts Celebration
What if I can't make it to Puerto Rico to celebrate?
We understand traveling to Puerto Rico may not be possible for everyone, and your support means so much to us. We can’t wait to celebrate with those who aren’t able to join us on the island, and will be hosting a celebration in Massachusetts following the wedding. Stay tuned — more details coming soon.
